Gendersaurus Rex

On Monday the 23rd, I did my second T shot. By that day I was feeling a tad bit weak, but not too bad, and certainly nothing like PMS, so I am happy with the dose and time schedule I decided on thus far.

Anyways, there have been a few minor changes taking place since I started T (now 12 days ago). First: I have been feeling strangely like I might be getting a UTI. You know, that burning sensation that you get right as it’s starting? Well it turns out that it wasn’t a UTI afterall, but my clit is getting bigger! Significantly, and noticably growing. I debated not writing about this, but I think it’s an important change to note, especially for other gender-questioning individuals who may wonder if this is one of the effects T can have. Answer: yes. Second: My voice is starting to drop. Not a lot, and at points it will go back up to my starting voice range. However, today in the car I was singing along to “La Vie Boheme” on my Rent Soundtrack, and noticed that my voice was straining to sing in the register I normally do. So I tried to sing one of the lower parts, and low and behold, I sang it well! I got pretty excited and sang along to the rest of the CD in that register, and by the end of the CD my voice was cracking (and kind of hurting), so I gave it a break.

I am excited that changes are begining to take place because it makes this whole process more real. It’s also nice to know that I am not sticking myself with a needle every ten days for nothing.
